On 14th August 2025, we brought together a dynamic group of professionals for an interactive session on Leadership Communication for Executive Presence, an energising workshop held at ABB’s townhall space. A big thank you to ABB, our SGLN Strategic Partner, for generously hosting us.

Executive presence is often described as the ability to project confidence, competence and leadership in a way that inspires trust and motivates action. It’s not just about how you speak or stand. It’s about how you connect, how you influence, and how you show up with clarity, character, and conviction.

The workshop was led by Vincent Romano of Arcadia Consulting, a seasoned leadership development expert and trusted advisor to senior executives across Singapore and Southeast Asia. Drawing from years of experience in executive coaching and talent advisory, Vincent guided participants through practical strategies to elevate influence, sharpen communication, and lead with gravitas.

This wasn’t a sit-back-and-listen session. Participants were invited to step out of their comfort zones, walking into a room with every eye on them, holding unbroken eye contact with a partner for two full minutes, and practicing power poses that embodied confidence and command. Through these high-energy exercises, they experienced first-hand how executive presence is less about performance, and more about grounded authenticity.

We would also like to recognise our Fellows for bringing this session to life. This workshop was the culmination of an Action Learning Project under the SGLN Fellowship 2025, driven by Fellows Sherwin, Sharon Jiong, Yiran, Zechariah, Cherry Chai, and Wilson, with the support of SGLN Ambassadors Patrick and Natalie.

    Vincent has built a distinguished career in executive search and talent advisory, specializing in Human Resources leadership appointments across Asia. At Robert Walters, he was instrumental in establishing and expanding the Human Resources and Secretarial practices in Hong Kong before relocating to Singapore in 2009 to further develop the business. In 2012, Vincent joined Elliott Scott HR as their first hire in Singapore, where he led the office’s operations and senior-level HR recruitment across Southeast Asia.
