Event

About The Event

In partnership with Antler, we brought together a dynamic mix of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and leaders to participate in an engaging 2-hour interactive workshop. Focused on cultivating participants' entrepreneurial mindset and skillsets, the workshop featured moderated dialogues and group discussions, all enriched by the invaluable insights of our distinguished panellists. Our speakers from both the entrepreneurial and corporate realms included:

  • Magnus Grimeland, CEO & Founder of Antler

  • Dr May Yap, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer at Jabil

We extend our heartfelt thanks for the support and active participation of all who attended.

Key Takeaways

1️⃣ Embrace Boldness and Courage

Recognise that getting “No’s” is often the default in our entrepreneurial journey. Put your pride aside, develop a hustler mentality, be curious, and position yourself strategically to capitalize on maximising opportunities that you can seize. This will help develop your grit and resilience.

2️⃣ Invest in Personal Strategic Risk Management

Frontload your efforts by investing time in the present to lay the groundwork for future successes. Leadership and entrepreneurship are inherently risky ventures. Reflect on your risk appetite, remain adaptable, and embrace the unknown. We only fear what we do not know.

3️⃣
Minimise the Risk of Failure, and Fail Fast and Forward

Curate a robust support system and reliable partners to cushion the impact of failures. Set meaningful milestones on the path to long-term goals, but be prepared for setbacks. When failure occurs, accelerate your growth by swiftly learning from it and pressing on.
